“Based on the number of members in a region, members are selected to go to the annual convention where they can vote to elect certain offices within the governing body.”

“Awards & shows: the administration and issuance of achievement awards for all purebred, half-arabian and anglo arabians duly enrolled, and the approval of particular horse shows. Convention: the annual meeting where delegates from member organizations gather to carry on the business of the assn.,including the election of officers, the approval of resolutions, and horse show rule changes. Racing: the coordination and promotion of arabian racing on a national level, related to the activities of the arab. Jockey club, on whose board of trustees the association has five seats. Futurities: additional prize money programs for arabians and half-arabians owned by association members and registered with the association, the arabian horse registry of america, or the canadian arabian horse registry. Youth activities: various activities such as essay contests regional youth team tournaments, youth achievement awards and team horse judging contests are held for youths under the age of eighteen. Communications and public relations: activities include the design and production of all association printed material such as pamphlets, brochures, prize lists, flyers, forms, show programs, and the annual handbook. In addition, this program is responsible for all public relations and promotional activities.”
