There were 65 attendees, most of whom were gaa members, but the invitation was offered to nonmembers. There were 16 sponsors and 1 exhibitor for the 2025 conference. Continuing education hours are required for state of georgia licensure and for membership to professional organizations such as the american academy of audiology (aaa) and the american speech hearing and language association (asha). This year's continuing education courses covered a wide range of topics including the following: evolving hearing needs as we age complex audiologic cases in medical settings cochlear implants coding and billing tinnitus management business growth insights & emerging vestibular research”

“Throughout the year, nelson mullins and its lobbyists stan jones and helen sloat provided the following services to the georgia academy of audiology based on our contract: 1) nelson mullins attended the monthly meetings of the georgia department of community health, the georgia department of human services and the board of public health and reported on those events to gaa. 2) they monitored and provided input on legislative initiatives that could have had a potential impact on audiology practice and continued to offer counsel on any legislative efforts that we might consider proposing. 3)nelson mullins continues to follow-up and/or monitor issues that may arise related to state licensure and proposed changes to federal legislation as they relate to the profession of audiology.”
